The next batch of jeans will be available at FOUNDRY in January of 2019. The fit will be our 201 "Narrows" fit, which is a slim fit through the entire leg with our signature mid-rise top block. We're very excited about the new 14oz. Xinjiang denim that we chose for our second collaboration, which is a mid-weight sanforized fabric that was woven with Xinjiang extra-long staple cotton. The denim is blue/black with a very pronounced crosshatch pattern. There is noticeable slub in the warp and weft, however not nearly as slubby as our previous Xinjiang crosshatch offering in the 301 fit. This jean has a stiff/starchy feel to it, although the weft is very soft.

The construction and details of the jean are similar to previous CHET models, although there are a few notable differences. The thread used for this collaboration has been bumped up in size to a TEX 105 throughout, all in gold (with the exception of the chainstitched outseam and hidden back pocket tacks, which are both done in TEX 80 Navy). Also, the back pockets have been designed to replicate a vintage Levi's style pocket, although without a hidden rivet. The back pockets are secured with a hidden single needle bar tack.

This batch of jeans will also feature new CHET branded buttons and washers, as well as a tumbled veg-tan leather patch. The buttons have a vintage hand-written CHET DENIM branding (similar in style to the "Lee Cowboy" style buttons) and the washers have a more industrial style CHET-WA stamping. Buttons will be black/grey and rivets will be copper. The new hardware from YKK looks great and adds a nice finishing touch to the jeans.
